Finished his race off weakly on debut, but that was on heavy ground and winner Lalor showed himself to be very useful when taking a valuable bumper at Aintree this month. Will surely improve from that and this better ground may well help.
Nice introduction at Taunton when finishing fourth, showing plenty of promise in finishing fourth despite running a bit green. Wouldn't need to improve much on that in this moderate contest and can give Dark Invader plenty to think about.
Showed very little on her introduction at Towcester in October, although not beaten miles at the finish despite finishing last. Needs a lot more to challenge the other pair here, though.

This looks a match between DARK INVADER and Lubatic, with both having shown varying degrees on promise on their debuts and preference is just for the Paul Nicholls runner. The yard have won this race for the past two years with smart sorts Capitaine and Movewiththetimes, and they can make it three with this well-bred full brother to the yard's smart chaser Irish Saint. Lubatic did little wrong on his debut and can make a race of it, with improvement likely, and there could be little between the two.
