C&D winner who has been kept busy recently, with this fitness helping him to a victory on the turf at Brighton last week. Goes up 5lb for that victory, which seems fair given how decisive it was. This surface is fine for him, the concern is that he may not get such a soft lead in this company..
Very narrow runner-up over C&D three days ago and remains on the same mark for this. This weight shouldn't be a problem, then, though this may prove to be a slightly more competitive heat. Leading contender.
Didn't manage to build on back-to-back victories over C&D last summer, and now has been given a break since November. A return to what should be a strongly run six furlongs should help, though, and he cannot be ruled out.
Opened his account in September 2015 at Pontefract, but has failed to threaten to score again since. Tried on a synthetic surface for the first time for all new connections, but is entitled to need the run having been off since September.
Usually runs his race and was beaten less than a length into third when last seen at Catterick earlier in the month. Remains on the same mark now switched back to the Tapeta (placed on his only previous start on this surfact) and he should go well.
Narrowly beaten in selling company last time out off a low weight when he was probably also helped by a first time visor. He retains that headgear today and could continue to progress.
Course specialist who remains on a much higher mark than when last winning over C&D in January. Has struggled with that higher weight since but this is probably her optimum distance and she clearly handles the surface.
No chance with the winner when finishing second at Southwell last time but that run wasn't totally without merit, and he has won off a similar mark to this previously. However he has something to prove on this surface, having failed to place on four attempts on the Tapeta.

There are a few likely types in this field, but perhaps BEAU MISTRALcan prove to be the best of them. This C&D winner is up 5lb from a victory at Brighton last time out, but it was impossible not to be impressed with the manner of that win and he may even prove to be on a lenient weight in time. He won't be given such a soft lead this time but as long as that doesn't prove to be a big issue he will go close on a surface we know he enjoys. Meanwhile, Pushkin Museum was unlucky not to score over C&D last time, while at a likely bigger price, the return to a strongly run 6f should suit Langley Vale down to the ground.
