25/1
Cape Cross gelding whose dam was a half-sister to a Group 3 winner. Yard have been in execllent form but this gelding doesn't have the most exciting pedigree in the field. May want a little further and other debutantes make more appeal.
Le havre colt, cost €60,000 as a breeze-up purchase. Half-brother to Kay Es Jay who was placed in Group company. Yard have been in excellent form in recent weeks so very much respected over a trip that looks about right on debut.

Lonhro colt, cost €160,000 at the breeze-ups with a nice US pedigree that includes Black Type. Only narrowly defeated on debut and slightly hampered towards the finish so he should come on for that effort and connections couldn't be in better form.

Well beaten on both starts to date, most recently when tenth of 12 on the AW and he will likely be seen in a better light when upped in trip in handicaps.

Royal Applause gelding, cost 7,500 gns as a foal and £16,000 as a yearling. Makes little appeal on pedigree and the fact that he has already been gelded is off-putting.
Sea The Stars colt, cost 62,000 gns as a foal. Half-brother to several winners including Class Is Class and dam was placed in Group company over 6f. Trainer in good form from limited runners in recent weeks and market should reveal more.
Shamardal colt whose dam was an Australian Listed winner. Yard have been going well and the booking of Moore suggests a big run may be expected so plenty to like.

Well beaten on two AW starts towards the end of last year and likely to struggle in this company. May do better in handicaps.

Invincible Spirit colt, cost 330,000 gns as a yearling and his dam was a Listed winner but it could be telling that Jim Crowley opts for Anif.

Tango Fire10
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-5| J: P J Dobbs| T: R Hannon
14/1
Frankel colt, cost 130,000 gns as a yearling but showed very little on debut at Nottingham and needs to leave that effort well behind if he's to figure here.

Forecasts

Dhalam (6/5), Musical Terms (5/2), Magellan (15/2), Archetype (12/1), Saaheq (12/1), Tango Fire (14/1), Anif (25/1), Espresso Martini (40/1), Duke Of Bronte (100/1), Noble Behest (100/1)

Verdict

Breeze-up purchase ARCHETYPE is one of the more interesting runners on debut and his yard have started the season well. The booking of Ryan Moore aboard Musical Terms is a positive for that ones chances while Dhalam looks sure to go well for the in-form combo of Gosden and Dettori but he will need to take a step forward from his debut to win this.
  1. Archetype
  2. Musical Terms
  3. Dhalam
