C&D winner in 2015 and slipping down the weights in recent seasons. Finished third on his first turf run of 2017 here over 1m5f last week and now rated 16lb lower than for his most recent win on turf. Yard out of form at present (0/37).

Verdict

AKAVIT has tried to make all on two of his last three outings and there's a chance he will be granted a soft lead in this contest. The selection tackles this trip for the first time on the Flat and should have improved for his first run in over three months at Newcastle three weeks ago. Danglydontask was a winner on his penultimate outing over 2m2f at Chepstow in October and can put a poor run here last time out behind him by claiming second on his seasonal debut ahead of top weight Wordiness who ran well when finishing third here last week.
  1. Akavit
  2. Danglydontask
  3. Wordiness
