C&D winner who did so in November from 5lb lower. Has been competitive from 1lb lower than today back here since then, so may fare better than at Lingfield last time now visiting these premises again. Each way claims.
Ran up a hat-trick on his first three starts for Charlie Hills but unable to add to those wins in three years and fared no better on first starts for this yard last month. Even so, looks well handicapped on the strength of his Chelmsford third over this trip in October. Market check advised.
Has enjoyed a very busy and successful winter campaign, running 13 times since joining David Evans in December, winning six of them, including two over C&D. Can still be competitive from this mark though needs to improve to win again.
Won first two starts in 2015 when with Jeremy Noseda, but not since since August of that year. Changed hands for just 7,500 GNS since and dropped just 2lb for this reappearance. Watching brief advised unless market speaks strongly for him.
4lb higher today than when scoring over this trip at Goodwood (good) in August. Has been competitive in defeat from 1lb higher. Returns from winter break here and record when fresh so far 0-2, so perhaps one to watch for today.
Ran up a hat-trick way back on 2014, but has added just one further win in 39 subsequent outings. Now 12lb lower than that most recent success, though poor draw and has not yet threatened to win over further than 6f.
All three handicaps wins have been from higher marks than this, including over C&D, although that was over four years ago. Has slid 10lb for three recent defeats since joining current yard and looks to have his best chance for some time. Headgear applied for first time in his career. Interesting.
Won a Salisbury maiden (7f, good to soft) on his second start when with Simon Crisford. Well beaten first two starts for current yard, but showed more last time and dropping to a workable mark for his in-form trainer. Market check advised.
Now back on the same mark as her last success (Pontefract, 6f, good to firm) in September. Has a C&D win to her name here from earlier in her career and should be cherry-ripe after a couple of recent runs. Claims.
2lb lower than when taking an amateurs' handicap over 6f here 13 months ago and also won from that higher mark over C&D here in 2015. Wide draw to contend with but entitled to each way claims at the very least.
Has not managed to add to his six career wins for well over a year and changed yards for last two starts. Now 15lb lower than when scoring over C&D in December 2015 and still capable of having a say.

Forecasts
Mr Christopher (7/2), Newstead Abbey (4/1), Little Miss Kodi (9/2), Intensical (9/2), Tafteesh (11/2), Anonymous John (10/1), Passing Star (10/1), Air Of York (16/1), Athassel (16/1), Lucky Lodge (20/1), Be Royale (20/1), Rain Wind And Fire (50/1)
Passing Star looks capable of running his best race for some time from this mark and a market check is advised where both he and Tafteesh are concerned. Lucky Lodge can get competitive along with Athassel, though the suggestion is to side with NEWSTEAD ABBEY, who has seen a rapid recent slide in the weights, is not badly drawn and could gain some impetus for the fitting of first-time headgear.
- Newstead Abbey
- Passing Star
- Tafteesh
