Used to running over further than this in France and he may want softer conditions than what he'll get here. Interesting to see what the market makes of him on yard debut.
Has been running well on the AW this winter but this is probably a little more competitive than some of those races and he looks handicapped upto his best form.
Globe-trotting sprinter who has been a winner in Chile and Sweden in his time. Cut little ice on either of his GB starts last month though and needs the return to turf to have a dramatic effect.
Well beaten on his last three starts but had looked progressive prior to that. A straight 5f on fast ground should be right up his street but he needs the yard switch to reinvigorate him if he's to be of interest here.
Drops back in trip having had the majority of runs at 6f but not certain to suit. Will enjoy the forecast quick ground but may be in need of the run.
Won over the straight 5f at Doncaster and all her best form is on fast ground. Trainer and jockey have a good record when teaming up here but the yard's runners usually need their seasonal reappearance and she has a longer absence to overcome than most in here.
All four career wins have come over 5f or an extended 5f and only 4lb higher than his latest win at Epsom. Dangerous to rule out if he can get an easy lead but may struggle to do that in this field.
C&D winner who went a little off the ball at the end of last season but had done plenty of racing earlier in the year and may have been feeling the effects of a long season. May be more to come this year but trainer's runners usually come on for their seasonal reappearance.
Has become a bit of a Southwell specialist in recent times and hasn't won on turf since 2014. Best efforts historically came on slower ground than what he's likely to get today though and may struggle now he's shot back up the handicap.
Very hit and miss and often needs a frantic pace to run at to be seen to her best ability. Trainer's record is just 5.49% around here and this mare may be in need of the run having not been out since September.
In and out performer who won well at Wolverhampton last month before failing to back that up at Chelmsford last time. Trainer and jockey have 28.67% strike rate when teaming up so they warrant respect and new combination of headgear could bring out a little improvement.
Forecasts
Vibrant Chords (2/1), El Astronaute (5/1), Independence Day (5/1), Seeking Magic (13/2), Majestic Hero (9/1), Olivia Fallow (9/1), Dungannon (12/1), Foxy Forever (14/1), Oh So Sassy (33/1), Sir Ottoman (40/1), Old Fashioned (80/1)
FOXY FOREVER could be the one to side with after running well on occasions this winter and he's fit from his AW campaign. Independence Day may be able to bounce back for a new yard after some disappointing efforts at the end of last season. If Majestic Hero is ready to go after a winter break the C&D winner could run into a place.
- Foxy Forever
- Independence Day
- Majestic Hero
