Still yet to win a race over hurdles (0/8) and failed to build on the promise shown two starts ago here over the same distance. Really appeared to struggle last time out in a C&D novice and although the handicapper is relenting he looks one to be wary of here.

Has turned in some fair placed effort over hurdles but remains a maiden after 12 starts. Usually shows his form around this course but the handicapper looks in control off this mark.

7/4
Another maiden hurdler in the field who has shown the odd glimpse of form in handicaps and ran one of his better races here in December over further. Failed to build on that run however although the handicapper has now dropped him a further 5lb.

Mount Shamsanv11
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-0| J: Jason Nuttall(10)| T: G & J Moore| OR:  86
11/4
The third runner from his stable in this heat and on jockey bookings looks the least fancied of the trio. Still yet to win over hurdles but did run with zest last time out at Taunton when runner-up in a selling handicap hurdle over 2m. Has looked vulnerable off marks like this before and a place may be the best he can hope for again.

9/2
Showed slight improvement on his previously poor hurdles form when making his handicap debut at Bangor over 2m4f off a mark of 87. Two subsequent runs haven't really backed up that run however and even off a career low mark, he's not really one to be interested in here.

Forecasts

Cor Wot An Apple (7/4), Mount Shamsan (11/4), Sir Hubert (3/1), Bolister (4/1), Wonga Swinger (9/2), Intifadah (5/1), Sisania (8/1), Orions Gold (16/1), Sebs Sensei (20/1), Pippa The Dancer (25/1)

Verdict

The biggest field of the day and Gary Moore who this in 2014 has a good chance of taking the race again with BOLISTER who returns from a break on ground he should like. Intifadah looks capable of winning something like this and h can play a part here along with Mount Shamsan and Orions Gold who could well improve for a move into handicap company.
  1. Bolister
  2. Orions Gold
  3. Intifadah
