Usually like to go from the front but can be rather inconsistent but has run well on two out of his last three starts. Win at Southwell in December was probably his best recent effort although he did run a reasonable race time out off a mark that does look to test him.

Not the most trustworthy of individuals but he did take advantage of a sizeable fall in the weights to win in October at Huntingdon over a similar trip to today. Back from a break here from an in-form yard he has an 11lb rise in the weights to cope with but is still well handicapped on his old form if returning in the same form.

The third runner in the race for the trainer who is a C&D winner having won here off a mark of 90 in September and following up off a 7lb higher mark at Stratford and jumping much better. Looked ring-rusty on his reappearance off a 3lb higher mark but managed to win here on Sunday over 3m1f in a weak contest but if he runs again here he may find life tougher under a penalty.

Forecasts

Perfect Timing (5/4), Little Windmill (7/4), Lemon's Gent (11/4), The Mumper (5/1)

Verdict

Neil King will be hoping to land this prize as he has three-quarters of the field and it’s just a question of deciding which of his three comes here in the best form. PERFECT TIMING is the best handicapped if he puts it all in and he’s given the nod over The Mumper who looks to be on a tough mark here. Lemon’s Gent also looks handicapped to the hilt and that may well allow King to land a 1-2-3 with Little Windmill taking the third slot if he runs again after his Sunday win over a longer trip.
