Has been front-running on all his last three runs, going close at Newcastle in December and then coming good at Sedgefield in January (2m½f, good to soft). Well beaten when tried over 2m5f there last time, so drop in trip is a positive and he has also won on good. Plenty going for him at 4lb higher than latest win.
0-14, though has made the frame six times and you had to feel for him here last time, when beaten just a neck over C&D in first-time cheek pieces. Raised 3lb for that, suggesting that he is booked for another good run but he is not easy to fancy for the win.
Won by 14L at Stratford last July (2m6½f, good) before a 12lb hike just got the better of him a month later, though front pair were 16L clear. Up a further 6lb for that and has been given the winter off, but returns with stable's runners in good enough form. Slight concern that he is yet to win when fresh.
Won a 2m½f handicap hurdle here in December (good to soft) from 4lb higher and put in a decent effort when runner-up from 2lb higher over C&D last month. Can probably put a line through latest Carlisle effort now that he is back here. Entitled to respect.
Sole success was on Boxing Day 2012 in a selling handicap hurdle here, though despite making the frame plenty of times since he is nigh-on impossible to recommend today from over two stones out of the handicap.

Movie Legend (11/8), Volvalien (9/4), Shady Glen (4/1), Crafty Roberto (9/2), Seven Nation Army (9/2), The Society Man (80/1)
Volvalien looks booked for a good run back at this trip and from just 4lb higher than his last win, while Crafty Roberto and Movie Legend should also be on the premises. However, preference is for SHADY GLEN, who was in rare form last summer and if he can pick up where he left off after an eight month break then he will be tough to topple.
