Yard has a good strike-rate with its runners in this type of event and this daughter of Emperor Fountain is well worth noting in the betting. Her dam was a 2m winner over hurdles and is a full sister to the very useful Flossy.
Makes limited appeal on breeding and dropped out tamely on debut at Southwell last month, though it is possible the ground may not have been ideal on that occasion. Now has a bit to prove.
Cost €5,500 as a three-year-old and is related to winners over 2m+. Yard not really noted for first-time out winners, though and best watched.
Getting the hang of things but more exposed than a few of the rest and needs to find improvement from somewhere. Related to Potters Lady Jane, who won a bumper for this yard at this course last year, so not without hope on pedigree.
Posted a good effort on debut (holds Potters Sapphire on the Market Rasen form) and is likely to have benefited greatly from the experience. One for the shortlist.

Cost €9,000 as a yearling and looks the part on paper. Yard sent out a winning debutante recently, so feasible she could be a player in this company. One to monitor closely in the betting.

Totally friendless in each of her three starts up to press and has yet to strike a telling blow. Not difficult to leave out of the betting plans here.

Represents a yard with an above average strike-rate with similar types and has to be respected accordingly. Plenty of bumper success locked into her pedigree and makes the shortlist as a potentially decent betting proposition. The market will be helpful where she is concerned; even though the fitting of a hood for her racecourse bow is a little disconcerting. May also be significant that her powerful yard has won four of the last eight renewals of this particular race.

Forecasts

Rose Tree (2/1), Sunshade (5/2), Presenting Pearl (3/1), Potters Sapphire (8/1), Floral Queen (10/1), Milady's Dilemma (20/1), Lady Master (22/1), Scotsbrook Night (50/1)

Verdict

Experience can tell for PRESENTING PEARL and she is taken to go one better than her close second on her debut at Market Rasen. Potters Sapphire already has improvement to find, so it may be down to the likes of Sunshade and Floral Queen to throw down the gauntlet to the mount of Aiden Coleman. The first named represents a yard that has won this race four times in the last eight years and again potentially sends out the principle player with their regally-owned contender. The stoutly-bred Rose Tree is another to bear in mind, especially now that her yard has the proven capability to have one ready to strike at the first time of asking in races of this nature.
  1. Presenting Pearl
  2. Sunshade
  3. Floral Queen
