Fell on first two starts between the flags and only a modest third when finally completing a race at Liscarroll last month. No fences to worry about here but others are readily preferred.

14 race maiden in points and under rules and very patchy form in recent starts. Likely to find this all too hot to handle.

Won Belclare maiden point-to-point last time out which should have given her a confidenece boost after a few near misses in moderate company. Open to improvement but might find a few too good on this occasion.
Won two of her last four point-to-points and clearly in good heart at present. This is tougher, but has to be a contender in what is not the strongest race of its type.
Shaped nicely on all three starts between the flags so far winning in good style last time at Lismore. Hails from top stable so has to be very much a contender now racing under rules for the first time.
Moderate maiden point-to-pointer on evidence of four career starts to date. Still time for improvement but faces a tough task at this level.
Looked beaten when fell late on in lowly point-to-point last month having pulled up the time before. Early days yet, but is hard to make a case for.
Picked up the pieces when left second in maiden point-to-point last week. that form doesn't look good enough but has time on her side and may do better in due course.
Maiden who got no further than the first fence when unseating rider last week and on balance looks out of her depth against the pick of the opposition.
Pulled up on first start in point-to-point a year ago but appeared improved after a long lay off when winning at Cragmore in February. Has some ability so comes into the reckoning for place purposes, at least.

Forecasts

Lackaneen Leader (5/4), Nana Joan (9/4), Kings Dolly (5/1), Thisonesforollie (8/1), Ayleoola (10/1), Shesakeeper (20/1), Slainte And Thanks (25/1), Aoibhe's Beau (25/1), Seeyouallinchasers (33/1), Aunty Kitty (33/1)

Verdict

Not much strength in depth in this mares' race, but LACKANEEN LEADER looks the part on what she has achieved to date and is a confident choice. King's Dolly has shown ability in winning twice between the flags and has place prospects at least, a comment that also aplies to Ayleoola. Aoibhe's Beau is the other one worth a second glance.
  1. Lackaneen Leader
  2. Kings Dolly
  3. Ayleoola
