Fortunate winner at Wincanton in December when booked for third, but the front pair fell at the third last. Not shown a lot since then either, finishing well beaten at Warwick last time, and plenty to prove here, not least her stamina for this.

Won a couple of handicaps in the autumn on quick ground, so likely conditions here fine, but threw the towel in pretty quickly at Fakenham last time out and jumping went to pieces. Plenty to prove here, including stamina, and may well get taken on for the lead too.

Verdict

With doubts about a few of these, not least in terms of their temperament, it may be worth chancing LORD ALDERVALE on his first start for 11 months. He's likely to try and make all here and just looks the most straightforward option in race full of ifs and buts. Kentford Myth needs to prove this trip suits as well as shorter but may plug on for second. Little Windmill at least knows how to win but it all depends what side of bed he gets out of.
