Bounced right back to best form when scoring over 2m7f at Bangor in October and followed that with three solid second-placed efforts over 3m at Musselburgh prior to a lesser effort over that C&D last time. Only his best will do.
Best effort over timber came when he was third on his hurdles debut at Plumpton (2m4f, good to soft) but little impact twice subsequently. Stepped up in trip for handicap bow and, having won a 3m point-to-point, he is of interest.
Sole success came on debut in a Downpatrick bumper in May 2015 when with previous stable. Well beaten in two novice outings for this yard but decent effort over 2m6f here (good to soft) on his handicap debut and extra distance should suit.
Consistent in regularly making the frame over trips between 2m 4f and 3m but has climbed the handicap as a result despite not winning. Lesser effort on soft ground at Newbury latest and has now gone 15 races without a success.
A smart prospect in his younger days but has had his problems and it's over four years since he's had his head in front. That said, mark is slipping all the time and wasn't disgraced returning from a lengthy absence latest.
Point-to-point and bumper winner who has since finished fourth in a pair of novice hurdles. Made a handicap debut off a 2lb higher mark at Catterick (3m2f, soft) recently and weakened tamely. Better ground here may help.

POTTERS APPROACH has offered plenty to work on in novice and maiden hurdle company and, having won a 3m point-to-point previously, it would be no surprise to see this much longer trip work to his advantage on his handicap debut. The step up in distance should also suit Ultimate Horseman whilst the likely better ground should see Monsieur Arkadin in a better light after he floundered in the mud at Southwell last time.

- Monsieur Arkadin
