Useful dual-purpose performer with Dermot Weld, winning over hurdles at Kilbeggan last summer, but has found it pretty tough going in three runs on an easy surface for new yard so far. Handicap mark is falling though and better ground here may help.
Placed twice for Paul Nicholls last spring and was fancied on debut for new yard at Huntingdon on Boxing Day but ran lifelessly. Won well (7lb lower mark) at Musselburgh next time but flopped again at Fakenham latest. Hard to know what he'll serve up.
Former William Haggas inmate who scored on the Flat (heavy) for present yard a year ago and also won over hurdles at Catterick (2m, soft) in February. Beaten twice since off this mark but better than he showed at Fakenham latest.
Flat winner with two chase victories to his name but only one from eight previous attempts over hurdles, that success coming in a maiden event at Worcester in 2013. Unseated his rider early when unfancied at Fakenham recently and best watched.
Was winning on the AW Flat for the fifth time when scoring at Lingfield in January but no joy from five previous attempts over hurdles, beaten 17L on his most recent attempt at Market Rasen (2m2f, good) in August. Can still improve.
Middle distance performer on the Flat and inconsistent hurdles, his only success in this sphere coming on bottomless ground at Ffos Las. Didn't jump fluently when well beaten last time out at Ludlow. More needed.
Winning Flat handicapper in Ireland but no show in first two hurdles outings for this yard. That said, distinct signs of improvement to finish a 5L third behind Attest in a juvenile event here latest and of interest on his handicap debut with tongue-tie added.

Forecasts
Whispering Storm (11/4), Spader (7/2), Walsingham Grange (4/1), Elysian Prince (6/1), Borak (6/1), Church Leap (7/1), Good Tradition (9/1), Hallings Comet (12/1)
Useful Flat handicapper SPADER offered something to work on when third in a juvenile event over a slightly longer trip here last month and trainer Harry Skelton appears to have found a suitable opportunity for his handicap debut, providing he handles the quicker surface. That said, the erratic Whispering Form would have every chance if repeating the form he showed to win at Musselburgh on his penultimate start with Good Tradition also a live danger.
- Spader
- Whispering Storm
- Good Tradition
