One of three runners from a yard that is well stocked with good sprinters but does look the least fancied of trio. Ended last season in a bit of a slump and has plenty to do at these weights.

Has been known to go well when fresh but would be nearly a stone better off with Monsieur Joe if this were a handicap. Should give a good account but a place may be the best that he can hope for.

Would look to be the second string out of the three that the stable run here after spending the early part of this season running in Dubai. Turned in some creditable efforts out there mostly over 5f and he should go well here despite facing a tough task at the weights with his stablemate Monsieur Joe.

Not getting any younger but still a very smart performer over sprint trips and looks to be the number one hope of the three that his trainer runs here. Won twice last year over 5f at Newmarket and Hamilton and finished a very good second in a Listed contest in France when last seen. Has an advantage at these weights and has run well when fresh before.

C&D winner who showed some reasonable form in the early part of last year but form tailed off from that point and has struggled of late. Has a tough task at the weights here and best watched on current showings.

Blinkers go on for the first time as he comes back under the care of his former trainer having run for a different yard in Dubai over the winter. Some if those runs were adequate but the weights favour others and the trip looks a little sharp.

Glenrowan Rose186
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-1| J: P Makin| T: K Dalgleish| OR:  95
9/2
Looks to have the worst of the draw in this small field but has shown herself to be a useful performer last season winning at Hamilton and Ripon over 5-6f. Finished the season with a good second over C&D in October but this front runner has a fair bit on at the weights here coming back from a break.

Forecasts

Line Of Reason (5/2), Monsieur Joe (5/2), Lexington Abbey (4/1), Glenrowan Rose (9/2), Taexali (10/1), Desert Law (14/1), Red Baron (28/1)

Verdict

An interesting conditions event with trainer Paul Midgley looking to hold the whip hand with two of his three runners having a good chance with MONSIEUR JOE the best of them and favoured by the weights. Line Of Reason looks to give him a very solid second string to his bow. Glenrowan Rose does have a bit on at the weights but should be able to make her presence felt with Lexington Abbey one who can go well when fresh despite being another who is harshly treated at the weights.
  1. Monsieur Joe
  2. Line Of Reason
  3. Lexington Abbey
