Produced one of her better runs over this C&D in October. Has finished down the field in a couple of AW maidens including a week ago when tried in a visor for the first time. BHA ratings suggest she has 36lb to find with Jumira Bridge.

Has only beaten one rival home in three races and has a BHA rating of just 29. That gives her a huge mountain to climb just to make the frame.

14-race maiden is out of her depth in this company. Requires something calamitous to happen to at least three of her opponents in order to win this.

Half-brother to Spangled who won the Sceptre Stakes for the yard. Has earned a BHA rating of 88 which may overestimate his ability. Nevertheless, his efforts at Yarmouth and Doncaster set him a class apart. If his trainer wanted to find him an easy race, in order to boost his confidence, then he will be highly satisfied.
Ran well on debut to chase home a highly rated horse at Wolverhampton. Looked green that day and is sure to have come on for the experience. The form flatters him and he may be best judged on being a couple of lengths in front of a future 58 rated winner. Faces another tough task but looks the one most likely to make a race of it.

Home bred daughter of Captain Gerrard. Dam won once in 32 starts. Faces a stiff task on debut at a track which is hard for newcomers to handle.

Forecasts

Jumira Bridge (1/12), Secret Strategy (5/1), Andalusite (16/1), Lambrini Legacy (33/1), Rojina (100/1), Little Lizzie (100/1)

Verdict

Roger Varian's stable have a surprisingly low strike rate of just 12 percent at this venue. That suggests they may send their lesser lights here and JUMIRA BRIDGE may represent some risk at the likely odds. He has been found wanting at the business end of his races and the aim of this race may be one of boosting his confidence. With that in mind, Secret Strategy looks the one most likely to uncover any frailties in the favourite. He shaped like a winner in waiting on his Wolverhampton debut but has bumped into another 80+ rated horse here. Andalusite looks best of the rest.
  1. Jumira Bridge
  2. Secret Strategy
  3. Andalusite
