Stable in good form lately, but this mare returns to action for the first time since October 2016 and is 0 from 13 on the AW previously. Notched a three timer during August 2016 (between 6F to 7F), so has risen considerably in the weights and looks best watched on her return.
Has won three races on the AW at Chelmsford, Wolverhampton and Kempton, so this track should hold few fears. However, all of those victories have been over 6F trips, and he's only once tackled 7F during his 18 race career when fifth of 13 at Kempton in October 2016.
Twice a runner up at this track since the Tapeta was introduced in May 2016 (from marks of 78 (1m) and 82 (7F)). That latest 7F second (to Inaam) came last month on his first start since July 2016, and he's been raised a further 1lb to a mark of 83. Tough and reliable, he has a leading rider booked, and his trainer has done well here on the AW.
Reliable sort at this track having won three times between 7F and 1m since December 2016. Has been raised 9lb collectively for that trio of successes and has never won for this rider (goes well for David Nolan and Paul Hanagan). Certain to be on the premises alongside old rival Mutamid.
Veteran, but a C&D winner three starts ago (November 2016) and races from just a 1lb higher mark today (lower if factoring in inexperienced riders claim). However, that effort is sandwiched amongst a string of less attractive runs, and he lost all chance on turf at Doncaster recently when totally blowing the start.
Much more effective on the AW than turf, and a four time winner over 5F to 6F on synthetics. Therefore, this trip at a stiff track is a major concern, and he's been out of form for a while. Returns from a three month break and on a much reduced mark, but is tough to fancy.
Cost his new trainer 26,000 gns from Ralph Beckett at the Newmarket sales in October 2016, with his sole career success for that trainer coming on seasonal debut last term at Salisbury (6F). New trainer has an established record of improving others 'cast-offs' and worthy of close inspection for market support from a mark of 79 on his AW debut.
Stablemate of Short Work, and already a C&D winner. Got the better of both Deansgate (third) and Inaam (fourth) in recording that victory in October 2016. Went off the boil thereafter, but if primed to strike following a break is still attractively handicapped from just a 2lb higher mark.
Shock C&D winner (16/1) in June 2016 from a 8lb lower mark who appeared to enjoy a return to this track in mid December when finishing a runner upto Al Khan. However, he has disappointed twice here since, so he couldn't be a confident choice despite this rider returning to his back.
Somewhat of a Flat flag-bearer for his Middleham based handler, having contested races at the likes of York and Newmarket during 2016. Once with Charles Hills, he has a record of two from seven on the AW, and is entitled to come on for his recent return to the track, having been absent since landing a C&D handicap by a neck from My Dad Syd in October 2016.
Ex Irish (David Wachman), but has already repaid connections their 10,000 gns purchase price by winning twice during the course of 2016 (over 6F at Hamilton and 7F at Sandown). Off since October 2016 but stable had a double here recently after galloping a number of horses at Southwell, so worth watching the market for support. Fourth of 14 over 1m at this track on sole UK AW start in October 2016.
13 race maiden, but slowly appears to have been grasping the nettle since switched to this trip (from 1m), and finished third over C&D to Mon Beau Visage when last in action in October 2016. Races from the same mark on his seasonal return, but place prospects at best are the most likely result.
Nine time career winner who has come good during August in each of the past two years, and appears to hold an affinity with Musselburgh. His stable have saddled AW winners at this track (notably Ajman Prince), but he's tough to fancy on his return having finished 12th of 13 in a Classified stakes on his sole visit to this track (AW).

As always the David O'Meara trained pair Short Work and Mon Beau Visage are given maximum respect, whilst Chaplin Bay is worthy of market inspection with the Ruth Carr team seemingly in good order. However, there is masses to like about the tough pair Inaam and MUTAMID who fought out a thrilling battle here in mid March. Ismail Mohammed has a fair record at this track on the AW, and with the benefit of that run under Mutamid's belt, and with William Buick taking over in the saddle, he's taken to come out on top of the Richard Fahey trained three-time course winner Inaam.
