Scat Daddy colt cost $525,000 as a yearling, represents top trainer and powerful owners and is certain to be popular in what looks a relatively weak maiden.
Red Jazz colt is well related and should be closely monitored in the betting with trainer amongst the winners yesterday at Tipperary.
Holy Roman Emperor colt is nicely related and looks an interesting recruit for the younger O'Brien, possibly may want further than 5f in time.
Second of two for the trainer in this contest, the filly is also out of Holy Roman Emperor and she ought to have a bright future ahead. Market may be best guide.
The only one of the five to have raced previously, she was well beaten off against her own sex 12 days ago and is likely to find this assignment tough going, though she may well improve for the first time run.
Forecasts
True Blue Moon (11/10), Dali (7/4), Mister Magic (8/1), Feadan (10/1), In The Dip (12/1)
A son of Scat Daddy, it won't come as any surprise if the DALI proves up to winning this contest on debut for Ballydoyle. He was an expensive purchase and if the market speaks in his favour, it should prove wise to heed it. In The Dip can improve for a run here last month, in a race that has worked out well already, the runner-up having scored in decisive fashion last Friday. The market may steer expectation levels for stablemates True Blue Moon and Feadan while Mister Magic is bred for this test and his trainer is in good form.
- Dali
- True Blue Moon
