Yard have had a recent winner and this one has a bit of speed in the pedigree, but the advice on debut is a watching brief, as he faces some experienced opponents.

Modest form in point-to-points and only midfield on recent Rules debut over hurdles. This trip looks on the short side and not hard to see better options in the race.

Only start to date saw him finish fifth to Melon at Leopardstown in January, keeping on nicely in the closing stages. That form obviously quite decent, and he will have learnt from it, and as there's a bit of speed in the pedigree, can't be ruled out.
Made favourite on only start to date in a point-to-point at Kildorrery, so clearly something was expected, but after pulling up in that race can only really be watched today,

Far from disgraced on debut when finishing midfield behind the well-regarded Bon Papa at Gowran Park in January but took a backwards step on subsequent start. Better ground may help but best watched today.
Has shown next to nothing in three point-to-point starts to date and can't be entertained as a likely winner here either.

Solid enough debut at Limerick in December when finishing midfield behind Ballyluskey, sticking to the task well enough, but not so good since and was well beaten on latest start. More likely winners in the field.
Bred to do well and related to some high-class winners, but disappointing in two point-to-point starts and hasn't been seen out for over a year. Market the best guide as to his chances today, but not totally discounted.

May want a bit farther than he gets today, but has some of the better form on show, and another good effort when fourth to As You Were at Thurles last month (Isodon in behind in fifth). Has place chances at the very least, and one of the more likely ones.

Only just touched off in a maiden hurdle at Thurles in February where a final flight mistake may well have cost him victory, but not so good on latest start when finishing weakly at Clonmel. Possible that better ground will help and on earlier form, the one to beat here.
Has had plenty of practice in bumpers already and does have a couple of placings to his name, but it's only moderate form and he needs to improve to get involved here.

Forecasts

Sharps Choice (7/4), Or Jaune De Somoza (3/1), Billy's Angel (5/1), Shakeytry (8/1), Balinaboola Steel (10/1), Two In One (12/1), Thinkinginmysleep (14/1), Fort Montagu (16/1), Ben Brody (25/1), Mickey Flanagan (33/1), Loughnavalley (66/1), Machine Rua (66/1)

Verdict

SHARPS CHOICE just gets the vote in the hope that this likely better ground should see him return to his earlier good form. He's probably a bit unlucky not to have a win on the board already and can gain success here. Shakeytry isn't doing much wrong at present and looks likely to pick up some more prizemoney, along with Two For One, who is going the right way and looks likely to play a part. Money for Billy's Angel would be interesting.
