Moderate Flat handicapper comes here looking for good ground. His Catterick third behind 140 rated High Bridge and 130 rated Top Tug would be the best form in this. Well beaten last time and that casts doubts over his Catterick achievement.
Winner of three races this season which leaves her needing some help from the handicapper. Would prefer a bit more give underfoot but rider is good value for his 5lb claim. Does not have the most obvious chance but one of the few to have got into the winning habit.
His Newcastle third to Sam Spinner is a useful piece of form and he had two subsequent winners behind that day. His jumping has let him down since and that must remain a concern. Returns from a two month break and will take some beating if that has had the desired effect.
Locally trained and best efforts have come here. They include a third to Master Of Irony which would give him an excellent chance if that form is reliable. Beaten 59L when second in bad ground last time. Feeling persists that handicapper has taken few chances with him.
Showed first worthwhile form of first start for new trainer when landing a Wetherby seller last time. Has more to do now but was always travelling well that day. In good hands and remains to be seen how much untapped potential there is.
Had shown ability on the Flat but looked in need of a handicap mark in first three runs over hurdles. Produced best effort at Musselburgh last time when unable to catch a game front runner. Looks set to give a good account now stepping up in distance in first time cheekpieces..
Winner at Southwell last summer. Returns from a break over a trip short of his best and 7lb above that winning mark. Looks one for another day.
Has showns of temperament in France and over here. New headgear fitted today and remains one to be cautious about.

Newstart (7/2), Atomix (4/1), Dubai Celebrity (4/1), Bonnet's Vino (11/2), Sigurd (7/1), Picknick Park (7/1), Next Edition (14/1), Arkadios (14/1), Shaiyzar (25/1)
Sigurd, Atomix and Picknick Park all have form against decent novices which gives them a chance in this. Those efforts have not been backed up subsequently and all three remain hard to evaluate. Either one of them may prove good enough and market moves are worth noting. NEXT EDITION has been a popular horse at Phil Kirby's yard and is awaiting honourable retirement. Connections are hoping for one last hurrah and today could be their day. They have been waiting for good ground and now return to a track which has produced some of his best displays. He will get few better opportunities than this to sign of with a win. Newstart is the "dark horse" in the lineup having shown little until cruising throughout a Wetherby seller on his debut for Brian Ellison. That effort shows him to be on a fair mark here if he can run to the same level again. Dubai Celebrity returned from a layoff to produce his best effort over hurdles on his handicap debut. His sire gets horses who stay so this extra half mile could bring some improvement.
