Landed a Lingfield maiden in April last year and didn't do badly on initial handicap run, his only other start last year. Well beaten on debut for this yard at Newcastle last month and dropped 2lb here, but unexposed at this trip and not ruled out.
Six of his eight career wins have been over 7f, though his last success was over 1m, albeit way back in September 2014. Now 19lb lower, but still comfortably accounted for last time and can't be backed with any confidence.
5lb lower than his last win in a 1m1½f handicap at Wolverhampton in January, though his turf form is not as good as that and he is in fact 4lb higher than his latest run on grass, which was a Nottingham win in October (1m2f, good to soft). Cannot be confidently ruled out.
1-27 career profile does not inspire, although a positive twist on that might be that one of his better races in defeat was on good to soft and his sole win was on the slowest of the artificial surfaces at Southwell. On the former of those two he looks weighted to run well here.
Lingfield maiden handicap winner over 7f in January and ran well prior to that in a handicap on the Polytrack from 5lb lower. Can't say he is thoroughly exposed, though his run last time suggests that he will need to improve a fair bit for the fitting of blinkers to win this.
Goes into this 2lb lower than his best winning mark and has also scored from today's mark in addition to that, so entitled to be competitive on that basis, although he has not yet put his best foot forward when fresh, which has to be a concern. Trip and forecast ground suit.
Sole win came in a claimer here over 7f (good) when last seen on October. Conditions not a problem for her, though beaten from lower marks in several previous handicaps and not easy to fancy for win purposes.
Won handicaps off 72 and 73 a few years ago, but not come close to scoring for going on two years and although the losing margins are reducing he doesn't look to be low enough to end the drought just yet.
0-15 wouldn't have punters leaping for joy on the face of it, but this gelding handles some cut and stays further than this, while he has dropped a few pounds for this debut for a new yard. Just the type that they do well with. Market check advised and shorter trip should really hold no fears given his pedigree.
4lb higher than when winning a Limerick handicap this time last year (1m, heavy) and has shown best form on ground softer than forecast. Has had several runs for this yard over hurdles without showing much and now tried back on the Flat. Perhaps best watched this time.
Forecasts
Green Howard (5/1), Billy Bond (11/2), Pivotman (6/1), Ross Raith Rover (6/1), Jeremy's Jet (15/2), Cosmic Ray (9/1), Harlequin Rock (10/1), Infiniti (10/1), London Glory (12/1), Dragon Khan (16/1)
Not a race to be getting heavily involved in and the suggestion is to give JEREMY'S JET a try on his first start for Tony Carroll. Conditions should not be a problem and he might just get the strongly-run mile that he is likely to need. Harlequin Rock could be a threat if able to do better first time back than when previously fresh, while Infiniti, Billy Bond and Pivotman are all capable of being competitive.
- Jeremy's Jet
- Billy Bond
- Infiniti
