Keen-going sort who did far too much early on and was pulled up on her last two starts. Finished a respectable third in a Leicester handicap hurdle three outings ago and has claims on that effort. Acted on good ground when trained in Ireland, so the surface should suit.
First run after a five-month lay-off when pulled up at Exeter last time. He did manage a couple of respectable efforts on decent ground in the autumn, but is yet to get his head in front after 28 starts over hurdles and is hard to fancy.
Has been mixing hurdles with chases, but remains without a win in 15 starts. Best recent display was a distant third in a Leicester seller and he is eight pounds lower here, which gives him an each-way shout.
Flat winner who won a four-runner event at Musselburgh on his hurdling debut. Has cut little ice in two Flat races and two hurdles since, but his initial handicap mark over timber looks fair and, as one of the more talented performers in a poor race, he has obvious claims.
Twice a winner on the Flat, including for this yard at Redcar in 2015. Hit and miss these days and followed three lacklustre efforts with a mulish display at Stratford last time when he contrived to throw away a race he ought to have won. Has ability, but is clearly not one to trust.
Cut little ice over fences on his last two starts and his previous efforts over hurdles hinted at only limited ability. Drops in class, cheekpieces are dispensed with and blinkers refitted in an effort to eke out some improvement, which will be needed if he is to figure.
A 34-race maiden on the Flat, he has shown little aptitude for hurdling either. Beat only one of 21 rivals in two races when last seen on the Flat in the autumn, so it will be a surprise if he figures, even in this moderate company.
Beaten a total of 220L on his two starts since joining his current stable from Graeme McPherson. Those races contained far classier horses that he will face this time, but vast improvement is needed for him to get involved at the business end.
Has more letters that numbers next to his name and there is no obvious reason why he should suddenly turn the tide from three pounds out of the handicap.
Without a placing in nine hurdles start and beaten a long way or pulled up in all of them. Last seen when tailed off at Hereford in October. Five pounds out of the handicap.
Down the field in three recent AW starts, having previously been tailed off in a Sedgefield novices' handicap hurdle. Nothing to suggest she can make an impact, even at this level. Six pounds out of the handicap.
Unplaced in 10 hurdles starts and competes from 10lb out of the handicap, which gives her a mountain to climb.

MISS BENEFITZ could be the answer to a poor contest if she consents to settle. Her form in Ireland suggests the forecast ground should suit and her third in a Leicester handicap hurdle gives her every chance at this level. Taurian is likely to be popular with punters given his respected trainer/jockey combination, while Berry De Carjac can make his presence felt.
