Horse A-Z
Bumper winner at Leopardstown in January and since gone on to finish close second in Cheltenham's Champion Bumper. Sets an exacting standard on that evidence.

Horse silk
7/4
Forged clear to win by 7L on debut at Leopardstown last month, entitled to improve on that effort and should be in the firing line once again.
Finished 30L in arrears of stablemate High Tide last month and has since run a disappointing race over this C&D, hard to see how that Leopardstown form gets turned around now.
€4,000 3-y-o, Scorpion gelding makes racecourse debut here, stable have been quiet of late and this is not an easy starting point.

Horse silk
12/1
Not beaten all that far in a Thurles bumper won by Coldamour on debut last month, should improve for that effort though may be looking at place claims at best in this line-up.
6
Horse silk
12/1
Filly dictated matters from the front to make winning debut at Thurles last month (Vladakar fourth) and should improve to be competitive again in what looks a stronger contest.

Westerner filly makes her racecourse bow here and is bred to be decent, worth a look in the market despite the presence of some smart rivals.
Raced off the pace on debut at this venue 19 days ago, unable to get into the race as a result. May do better for that run.

Getaway filly is just the second runner to represent this trainer and a first in the jumps sphere. Massive surprise should she prove up to winning this.
Milan filly is nicely bred for the job, can be given a look in the market to gauge confidence but she does face some smart rivals for her debut and ought to come on for it.

Forecasts

Debuchet (4/5), High Tide (7/4), Cornelius Sulla (12/1), Coldamour (12/1), Vladakar (12/1), Thelunarschooner (33/1), Alice Johnston (33/1), Hiupinthesky (50/1), Quick Juke (66/1), Noreaway (66/1)

Verdict

Second in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham last month, it will be something of a letdown should DEBUCHET not go one better here and add to his Leopardstown success in January in doing so. He was unfortunate to be gunned down by the flying filly Fayonagh in the Cotswolds and is very unlikely to meet anything of her ilk now. High Tide also scored at the Foxrock track on his debut in good style and, one of two for the O'Brien yard, he will be capable of taking advantage should the selection suffer any ill effects of his Cheltenham exploits. Coldamour and Vladakar renew hostilities having finished first and fourth respectively at Thurles last month and they should go well again.
  1. Debuchet
  2. High Tide
  3. Coldamour
