Has failed to build on a promising debut and is becoming expensive to follow. Found little under pressure three outings ago and different tactics employed next time. Failed to trouble the winner again last time but there is a lack of competition for this.
Well supported when swooping late under today's rider to score at Kempton last week. Recorded a better time than No Not Again who ran in a weaker race on the same card. Escapes a penalty for that success so has obvious claims.
Sold to current yard for 14,000 guineas in October. Proved frustrating as a juvenile with a number of placed efforts. A tendency to hang under pressure raises questions about his battling qualities.
Attracted some money on handicap debut last time but still finished last. Has moved to new yard with doubts remaining as to capabilities.
Losing streak now stretches back 13 races. Just 1lb better off with Brother In Arms having finished 2¾L behind him last time. Needs that rival to find some trouble in running if those placings are to be reversed.
Sent off favourite on debut for Richard Hannon at Goodwood and finished last. Down the field in two decent Newbury maidens (showed some ability) before switching stables. This looks a much easier task and she may do better now handicapping.. One to note on AW debut and with top rider booked.
Yard are 3-16 in the last fortnight. Hard to see how even that success will bring about the improvement needed.
Forecasts
No Not Again (5/2), Coverham (5/2), Brother In Arms (10/3), Silver Mist (9/2), Celerity (10/1), See You Mush (16/1), Raspberry Princess (100/1)
BROTHER IN ARMS has a tendency to start slowly and carries some risk as a result. Nevertheless, he overcame that handicap to justify stable confidence last week and record a decent time too. He escapes a penalty and this looks a less competitive race. There are few viable alternatives in this. Both No Not Again and Coverham have doubts about their battling qualities. Both are capable of reaching the frame but would be vulnerable in a tight finish. Of the pair Coverham could do better as he is fresh from a break and has moved to a trainer who does well with his small string. Silver Mist is interesting on handicap debut and is worth a check in the market for a race that will take little winning.
- Brother In Arms
- Coverham
- No Not Again
