Has lost his way a little bit recently, perhaps now in the hands of the handicapper. Has form on Polytrack, though, and his fourth last time out at Newcastle was a fair performance
Lightly raced maiden making his handicap debut here today. Opening mark looks fair and he has shown enough so far in his career to suggest he should be competitive here.
Has shown some of the better form of his career recently, rediscovering the form that made him a very competitive handicapper as a five-year-old. Up in the weights now and it will be interesting to see if he can find more.
Dual C&D winner who seems to have his conditions today. Excuses for his fifth at Chelsmford last time out, and should go close here off the same mark.
Consistent recently but has been going up the handicap at a rate of knots as a result. Likes this surface, though, and it's possible that he's turned a corner since joining this yard.
Failed to impress when finishing last of all at Southwell last time. Has won recently though, when just getting up at Sandown last summer, and he has claims if reproducing that form.
Last time out winner who won well at Wolverhampton on that occasion. Escapes a rise in the weights and should go close if replicating that performance.
On a long losing streak now, though his eighth at Wolverhampton last time over 7f was a bit better than some recent efforts. Perhaps the return to a mile will help on a surface he was won on before.
Has shown little in any of his recent starts, including finishing last off over C&D when last seen. Another minor role seems likely.
Forecasts
Selection (2/1), Wink Oliver (11/2), Music Major (13/2), Spiritual Star (7/1), Tee It Up Tommo (8/1), Thecornishbarron (9/1), Rightway (9/1), Mister Musicmaster (33/1), Freight Train (150/1)
Things all look to be right here for a big run from MUSIC MAJOR. A dual C&D winner, he has further winning form on this surface and will especially appreciate it if there is a strong pace set. With excuses for his last run, he appeals most ahead of the unexposed Selection and Spiritual Star, who impressed in victory last time out.
- Music Major
- Selection
- Spiritual Star
