Makes his Fibresand debut in this coming back from a break for a new yard. Last four wins have come on an AW surface when trained in France over similar trips.

Another making his Fibresand debut and a while since his last win which came over a mile on the AW at Lingfield. Has been consistent of late though on the Aw but really needs some help from the handicapper.

Has won at this course and on a real roll of late having won his last three starts recording a career best last time out. All those wins came at Wolverhampton on the Tapeta over 7f and he'll need to step forward again here to make his mark for a four-timer.

Form over C&D reads 1114 and he still ran well last time out in defeat at this course left with a little too much to do. Shaped well again last time out when beaten by Call Out Loud (had to wait for a run) and should be able to reverse that form on his return to a C&D he loves.

An interesting contender who won a 7f maiden at Chester in the summer and then fell when clipping heels on his handicap debut at the same track. Not seen since but has a good pedigree for this surface and looks to have plenty of potential for a yard that do well at this track.

Forecasts

Thomas Cranmer (9/4), Custard The Dragon (5/2), Quixote (5/2), Bold Prediction (7/1), Call Out Loud (10/1)

Verdict

Without doubt the best race on the card and whilst not a big field it does contain some very interesting runners. Quixote showed his best form in France on an artificial surface and if he takes to this surface he could take a hand. Thomas Cranmer is full of potential and has a pedigree which you would think would be suited to this surface although he might just need this. CUSTARD THE DRAGON and Call Out Loud have previous form and the former may well come out the better of that duo this time out if he gets a better run through this time over a course and distance that he acts well on.
  1. Custard The Dragon
  2. Thomas Cranmer
  3. Call Out Loud
