Winner of a C&D Hunter Chase and looked a little unfortunate when hampered in a similar event at Cheltenham in May. Beaten in point-to-points of late and has to concede weight all around here with the tongue-tie going on for the first time.
Has won five point-to-points but was pulled-up in the latest one in February. Form in this sphere is fairly modest though and has more to do to get involved here.
One time useful chaser and has run well in this sort of company of late without really threatening to do any better. Second here in early March and can travel strongly although his finishing effort leaves a little to be desired these days.
Makes his Hunter Chase debut here after showing some decent chasing form when with Kim Bailey. Has won in point-to-points (1/5) and clearly not out of this judged on his previous form under Rules.
Classy sort in the context of this race having won six of his 12 chases under Rules. Not seen since last April when he finished well held at Ascot in a Veterans' Chase but he has won off a long break before and could well push the pace along here.
Not often seen under Rules in recent years but has been active in point-to-points (5/9 overall in that sphere). Won his most recent start in point-to-points in March and an interesting and capable contender in this contest.
Ran well above himself in a recent Hunter Chase over C&D and with this being a deeper contest will do well to repeat that run here.
Won his only previous start in this sphere at Fontwell in 2015 and has been in prolific form of late in point-to-points winning four of his last five starts. That form still leaves him with a bit to find here but he adds depth to what is an interesting race.
Showed some useful form over fences a couple of seasons back winning once over C&D. Has rather regressed since then and makes his debut in this grade with a bit to prove coming back from a break.
Has won in point-to-points but his debut in novices' Hunter Chase leaves him with plenty to do here.
Approaching the veteran stage now and despite having won around here in the past it's hard to see him troubling the major players in this.
Travelled around several top stables under Rules but never really came up to expectations. His recent point-to-point form is poor and he was well beaten in a small field Hunter Chase over 3m here in February and others are much preferred.

Creevytennant (2/1), Colbert Station (2/1), Simply Wings (4/1), Dantes King (6/1), Full Trottle (7/1), Crazy Jack (14/1), It's A Steal (14/1), Daymar Bay (25/1), Abbeyview (40/1), Free World (40/1), The Ould Lad (66/1), Qrackers (100/1), Lined With Silver (100/1)
A very decent race of its type with Creevytennant setting the standard having won in this sphere before back in 2013 and he has run well fresh in the past so the absence shouldn’t be too much of a problem. Simply Wings and Colbert Station are two others worthy of consideration but both have a little to prove on recent form. The Irish raider DANTES KING looks the most interesting in the field and while his Rules form leaves him with a little to find he has been in fine form in point-to-points of late. Of the rest of the field Crazy Jack and Full Throttle both look capable of winning in Hunter Chases and should be able to make an impression here also.
- Dantes King
- Creevytennant
- Full Trottle
