Winner of his penultimate start by 6L over 3m on soft ground at Warwick in December. Well beaten when finishing third over the same C&D subsequently having been hampered and likely to run well once more.
Successful over an extended 3m1f at on heavy ground at Plumpton in January. Well beaten over the same track off this 5lb higher mark since and interesting if putting that latest effort behind him.
Finished third behind two higher rated rivals in the Grand Military Gold Cup at Sandown last month. Was returning from nearly two years off the track when pulled up at Fakenham prior to that and has just his third outing for this stable here.

In good form in early 2015 when winning twice when with previous stable. Well beaten in three outings for current yard however including at Chepstow when last seen out in November. Wears blinkers for the first time here.
Finished third in small fields in two outings for this yard. Latest of those came over an extended 3m6f at Huntingdon a month ago. Races off a mark 12lb lower than when last successful as he seeks a first chase success in five outings in this.

Forecasts
Optimistic Bias (7/2), Amberjam (4/1), A Tail Of Intrigue (4/1), Royal Salute (11/2), Muckle Roe (6/1), Farbreaga (8/1), Not A Bother Boy (8/1)
MUCKLE ROE can record his second success of the season by taking this seven runner handicap chase. The selection was hampered when finishing third last time out and can defy top weight by getting the better of A Tail Of Intrigue who ran well in a prestigious race at Sandown last time out. Of the remainder Amberjam had been in decent form prior to pulling up at Lingfield in February and he can claim third.
