Gelded son of Definite Article, half-brother to dual winner Jumptoconclusions among others and trainer has a 13% strike-rate (7/55) in bumpers in recent years. Interesting with a promising young jockey in the saddle.
Finished in the frame on his first two outings in bumpers but disappointed at Thurles last time out. Chances on earlier efforts but vulnerable to one of the less exposed runners here.
Son of King's Theatre who was purchased for €100,000 as a three-year-old. Dam won two Grade 2 events back in 2008 and represents leading connections here. Likely to go well in a first time tongue tie on debut in this.
Son of Spadoun cost €1,100 as a foal in 2012. Dam was placed in a point-to-point from five starts and yard 0/6 in bumpers in recent years.
Unraced five-year-old son of Westerner. Dam showed signs of promise in bumpers and represents a decent yard with a top jockey booked here. Market support would be interesting.
Made his debut for this yard when finishing fourth in a bumper at Navan on heavy ground earlier this month. Was beaten over 19L on that occasion and likely to run his race once more here.
Daughter of Oscar cost €5,000 as a three-year-old in 2015. Dam successful five times under rules but probably best watched on debut here.
Unraced six-year-old daughter of Daylami. Half-sister to bumper winner Presentingoscar but likely to improve with experience.
Forecasts
Mortal (9/4), Isodon (10/3), Zen Master (4/1), Bob Le Flambeur (5/1), Western Command (5/1), Fourina (20/1), No Boundaries (20/1), Horsenjockey (25/1)
The well bred MORTAL can get off the mark at the first time of asking here. The selections dam was a classy mare on her day and while she was ultimately better over further this doesn't look the strongest of bumpers and he can make his mark over the minimum trip here. The experienced Isodon can claim second here at the expense of Bob Le Flambeur who can claim third on debut.
- Mortal
- Isodon
- Bob Le Flambeur
