Betfred 'Treble Odds On Lucky 15's' Handicap Chase

7lb higher than his best winning mark (which was over hurdles) and without a win since late 2015, he looks in need of both a drop in the handicap and in class before he is capable of adding to his sole chase success.

Won an Irish point-to-point when with Jim Dreaper and scored twice in succession last spring at Bangor in handicap chases, the latter from a mark of 105. Still 3lb higher than that and never a factor when pulled up on his return from a break last time. Could do better on a sound surface today.

Won a good ground maiden hunter chase at Downpatrick in May and went close from a mark 6lb below today's later in the summer. Had a recent pipe opener but perhaps best watched for today unless market speaks for him.

Bags of stamina in the pedigree, so a bit of a surprise that both wins have been over 2m4f at Newcastle (soft). Ran well from 5lb higher than today back at that venue in November and from 2lb higher at Wetherby in January, so looks capable of going well if you can forgive his latest effort. Cheek pieces swapped for blinkers.

2lb lower than his sole win in a Catterick hurdle over two years ago and badly out of form since, until fitted with first-time blinkers at Newcastle last time, where he led until falling at the eighth. They are now swapped for cheek pieces and if as effective then his drought could come to an end.

A decent effort at Catterick in January (3m1f, good to soft) resulted in her being sent off favourite at Wetherby last time, though she was beaten 19½L into fourth from the same mark as today. Hard to see her finding the improvement needed to win.

Goes well here and was a 28L winner over 2m5f at the track last month (heavy). Hiked up 8lb for that, but has been thrashed in both start since and hard to see him being any more effective from 6lb higher today, especially over this longer trip.

Maiden point-to-point winner who has yet to taste success from 11 attempts under rules. Showed plenty of guts over 4m at Hexham last time, plugging on gamely to be just held by a neck and races from same mark today. Suspicion that this shorter trip on a sound surface might see things happen a bit too quickly for him.

0-10 under rules after a disqualification when first past the post at Market Rasen last spring from 8lb lower than today. Has run well on both his last two starts, including from today's mark at Catterick last time and his chance is respected.

C&D winner in 2014 (soft) and his best form has been with some cut underfoot. Regularly throws in a decent effort in defeat but up 1lb here for a 5L beating at Southwell last time and that is probably the best he can hope for again.
