Betfred 'Racing's Biggest Supporter' Handicap Hurdle

3lb lower than when winning over C&D last April. Well beaten in all four starts since then, but should be capable of making a better showing again now. Seems to handle any ground.

2lb higher than when scoring over C&D a couple of years ago and only subsequent success came in a Hexham seller. Not far away back at that venue recently and should be involved.

Back on his last winning mark today and another who has won over C&D in the past. Not easy to win with but capable of producing a good run when weighted to his ability as is the case today. Goes on a sound surface.

Still 4lb higher than when winning a Catterick handicap hurdle (3m1½f, good to soft) in January and well beaten from this mark next time at Musselburgh. Yard in good form of late and this gelding appreciates good ground so looks set to go close.

Sole success came in a Sligo bumper in 2013 and neither Paul Nicholls, Chris Gordon or current trainer has managed to eek another one out of him. Beaten just 1L from 1lb lower at Newcastle in November, so not without each way claims.

Same mark here as for all three previous handicap runs. Looked to be going the right way before his latest effort at Catterick, when pulled up as a 4/1 co-favourite and not beyond the realms of possibility that he may be able to put that behind him here.

Third and beaten 19½L in a Wetherby seller last week and races from same mark of 88 back in a handicap. Just 1-25 career profile over hurdles (two chase wins to his name) makes him hard to fancy, although did go well over C&D from a higher mark last summer.

Dipped his toe in to a novices' handicap last time at Hexham and made the frame from 5lb higher, albeit it beaten 43L. Longer trip looks a potential positive and should be able to finish a bit closer this time.

Made all to win at Wetherby (3m, good to soft) in January and ran with plenty of credit from 9lb higher last time over C&D. Same mark as that today, so will find it tough to win from and forecast ground may not play to his strengths.

0-34 career record and although he stays well enough and made the frame at Catterick last time out, all of his placed form has been with cut in the ground and he is not difficult to dismiss today.
