In good form but is set to race from 3lb higher than for his success at Chelmsford earlier in the month, and has a tough task at the head of the weights; others make more appeal on these terms.
Decent performer under both codes and, considering he won the Cesarewitch from a 3lb higher mark in 2015, he is back on an attractive rating just now. Has gone well when fresh in the past, so the long absence isn't as much of a concern as his inexperience on this particular surface. Very capable of being in the shake-up if he adapts though.
Has won at the course off a 7lb higher mark in the past; but has suffered training issues and has been below par for his current stable. Now has a bit to prove.
Stays well and has coped with the Tapeta surface without too much fuss. Latest efforts suggest she has paid the price for her quick-fire hat-trick last summer and she now needs everything to go her way.
Capable on her day, as she proved with a surprise win at Chelmsford last time out. Needs to confirm that performance wasn't just a flash-in-the-pan, though, and she has a stiff test ahead from a 4lb higher mark.
Stays 2m well but is yet to actually get his head in front over the trip when it really matters. He has made the frame off his current mark, though, which bodes well. But needs to be at his best in this company.
Won over an extended 1m3f from a mark of 75 at Windsor last September but has yet to really prove herself over this sort of distance and looks opposable on these terms.
Raced under both codes since leaving Sir Mark Prescott for his current yard and has enjoyed mixed fortunes as a result. He did win at this course off a rating of 67 back in October 2015 but has a stiff test head from a 5lb higher mark. Also disconcerting that he made very little impact in a recent spin over hurdles at Wincanton.
Forecasts
Aldreth (3/1), Fire Jet (7/2), Grumeti (5/1), All For The Best (13/2), Rowlestone Lass (8/1), Icebuster (9/1), Lady Makfi (9/1), Entihaa (16/1)
GRUMETI is a likely candidate at this level and, given that he is proven to go well fresh, he can grind out another result in his favour. Both Aldreth and Lady Makfi are respected but now look a little high in the weights, so it may down to the consistent Icebuster to throw down the sternest challenge. A market move for Rowlestone Lass could also be a hint of rewarding source for place backers to consider.
