1-30 career profile and has finished in the frame in half of his 14 chases without winning one. Looked like going close at Newcastle in January until unseating two out but went up 4lb for that and that makes him harder to fancy today.
Won a bumper in France a couple of years ago but not shown a huge amount in one hurdle and one chase for champion trainer. Unlikely to be ineffective for long and forecast good to soft ground may bring about some improvement, as may a 3lb drop.
Chasing a hat-trick after successive wins at Southwell over 1m7½f, one on good to soft. Up 4lb for the latter, which he did by 13L and looks a leading player again.
Maiden point-to-point winner who made a pleasing handicap debut at Hereford last time out. Extra furlong will do no harm and gets to race from the same mark today, so entitled to plenty of respect.
Placed in five out of six starts since joining current yard and would not be winning out of turn. Cheek pieces added and now dropped significantly in trip, so likely to need a strong pace to be seen to best effect.

Stage One (13/8), Ardmayle (2/1), Never Up (11/4), Movie Legend (3/1), Contre Tous (8/1), The Herds Garden (14/1)
ARDMAYLE has made an excellent start to his chasing career and, while the handicapper has put him up 9lb, he remains unexposed and the one open to most improvement. He is therefore preferred to fellow hat-trick seeker Never Up, who is nonetheless very much feared. Stage One should also be involved, while Contre Tous would be very interesting if supported.
