Makes his handicap debut today having run only modestly in a series of bumpers and novice/maiden hurdles. This opening mark looks likely to be a fair way too high for him and others hold more obvious claims.
Hasn't placed in eight starts so far, nor has he finished within 30L of a winner. Makes his handicap debut today and a massive step forward will be needed for him to be competitive.
Has been well beaten on all of his most recent starts, but his handicap mark is quickly sinking as a result to what is now looking a very appealing level. Long losing streak coupled with his advancing years is a concern though.
Without a win since December 2014 and his form so far this season over hurdles (finished last, pulled up) and a recent run on the all-weather don't suggest he's about to change that, and he's vulnerable here to a younger, improving type.
Has been running some consistent races recently, winning at Wetherby (2m, good to soft( three start ago before almost following that up with another victory at Catterick and also running well last time out. Current mark is fair and he should have more to offer at this sort of trip.
Won at Southwell in July (3m, good to soft), but has never looked his best over this sort of distance, having not placed in seven attempts at trips of roughly this length. Would be interesting if the race was half a mile longer, but as it is he's best watched.
Difficult to get excited about any of his form either in novice company or in handicaps, but his mark is going down quickly and his performances have suggested that this step up in trip could be a help to him.
Beaten into fifth, but only 9L last time at Wincanton on heavy ground having unseated when still going well three out the time before. Looks to be finding his feet after a recent long absence and should have more to offer.

It might pay to side with EDDY here. His recent form is a little misleading, as he was only beaten 9L when fifth last time, and was travelling very well when falling the time before. It may be it is taking him a little while to recover from a recent absence and though he's never won a race under rules he has run consistently well in the past and surely has a race in him at some point. Highland Life is one of the only recent winners in the field and looks a progressive type, so is one to consider, as well as Cafe Au Lait, who may not yet have shown his full potential at intermediate trips.
