Good winner at Clonmel last month over 2m1f, below that form in two subsequent outings but capable of getting involved here.

Bit below his best form when last seen at Leopardstown in January over a shorter journey, overall profile chasing is anything but progressive.

Travelled strongly over slightly longer trip last time at Leopardstown and just run out of it by-form rival. First-time cheekpieces on here and should mount a bold bid.

Had been off the track best part of two years before finishing pleasing third at this track a fortnight ago over 2m2f, has leading claims now if that run hasn't left a mark.

Mare needs a bit extra from somewhere based on effort against her own sex in beginners' event here over 2m2f a fortnight ago.

Now 12-years-old and yet to win in 17 starts over fences, latest effort at this venue gives him plenty to find with Zekarya.

Blinkers back on for the teenager here, ran well at Naas in January but a long way behind Tulpar over this sort of trip at Leopardstown recently. Hard to fathom turnaround in that form.

Won around here over shorter trip off a mark of 102 in December, well below that form in two recent outings but mark is slipping again and shouldn't be cast aside completely.

8lb higher than when landing low-grade handicap chase at Kilbeggan in August, has ability but doesn't tend to win out of turn - place claims.

Was in good form early last year, scoring over this C&D in January, dropped off a little before summer break and pulled up last month on return at Clonmel. May do more on second start back.

Perhaps found 3m beyond him here in December when pulled up, yet to win under rules in 16 starts but weighted to have a chance over this shorter trip if putting best foot forward.

Lightly-raced nine-year-old, produced a few too many jumping errors at Navan last month and likely going to be up against it here despite reduced rating.

Forecasts

Tulpar (3/1), Zekarya (3/1), Spancil Hill (5/1), Motown Bob (13/2), Samanntom (9/1), Routes Choice (12/1), Coolnagorna Giggs (14/1), The Conker Club (16/1), Stonehall Jack (16/1), Deano (16/1), Mr Goodenough (18/1), Shamiran (20/1), Rightback Atya (25/1)

Verdict

Zekarya showed decent form off a sizeable layoff when tackling a shorter trip at this venue recently. He can be winning races soon but this comes quick enough and there's every chance that TULPAR will try and run the finish out of him now. The selection didn't lead last time but travelled strongly and looked the winner on the run-in only to be done by an old foe. He can get back to winning ways now. Motown Bob is well worth noting in the market to gauge expectations for his handicap chase debut while Samanntom and Stonehall Jack are considered for place money.
