Good win over a smart rival last time and he'd be of obvious interest here if it wasn't for his yard's quiet spell. Still feasibly handicapped and interesting what the market makes of him.
Largely been in good form this winter with three wins to his name and still looks on a fair mark after a close up third last time out. Versitile ground wise and should give his running once again for a trainer in form.
Made a promising start to his career over fences but been disappointing in two starts since and doesn't look like a straighforward character. Still early days over the larger obstacles and his jumping seems sound so he can't be ruled out, dropped another 2lb.
Done well for this yard but not won since 2015 and while he's been running okay without threatening the judge this season, he looks vulnerable for win purposes and may need more relief from the handicapper.
Very inconsistent sort and his best pieces of form have come on better ground than this (though he has won on soft). Doesn't look particularly well-handicapped and no certainty he will give his running so may be best watched over a trip that's probably a little on the sharp side for him these days.
Unlucky to unseat two starts ago and nearly gained compensation here last time when hampered on the run-in. Only up 1lb for that effort and he's a consistent type so he should go well again here.
Can be a sketchy jumper at times and nearly went at the first here last time. Has to turn the form around with Red Devil Star if he's to win this and that may be no easy task in itself, not accounting for the rest of the field.
Forecasts
Doitforthevillage (3/1), Greybougg (3/1), Imperial Presence (10/3), Red Devil Star (11/2), Pearls Legend (8/1), Sew On Target (14/1), Crookstown (25/1)
DOITFORTHEVILLAGE may have been a beaten short-priced favourite last time but he wasn't beaten far and he's looked progressive this winter. Red Devil Start is another who doesn't lack for consistency and he's only been raised 1lb for his performance last time while Sew On Target is an obvious contender but with the Tizzard runners arguably under-performing a little recently, he can't be forwarded with a great deal of confidence.
