Won a point-to-point on debut but remains a maiden under rules, having been with Paul Nicholls before joining current yard. Showed a little more over a similar trip here last time and dropped 5lb for this, which is also a drop in class, so could go very well.
0-10 under rules and pulled up on his chasing debut at Carlisle last month. Return to this longer trip looks a positive and hood applied for the first time today, which might help, so a market check is advised.
Sole success was in a Musselburgh maiden hurdle over 1m7½f (soft) 13 months ago and although beaten in all five chases this season, he has run with credit several times and has more experience than most of these. Likely to be in the hunt for some money.
Very lightly-raced veteran who has not got his nose in front since January 2013, though has clearly had problems, having only raced six times since. Comes here in good heart after going close at Ayr last time (2m4½f, heavy) and entitled to plenty of respect from the same mark.
Looked well handicapped before his chase debut at Catterick last time, though trip proved to be inadequate for him. Races from the same mark here and this extra 5½f is very much a positive, so should go very close.
Forecasts
Minella Suite (2/1), Buffalo Ballet (12/5), Ascot De Bruyere (11/4), Hawkhurst (9/2), Christmas Twenty (33/1)
MINELLA SUITE looks like a decent recruit to the chasing ranks and despite his defeat last time, he should be able to repay followers over this longer trip. Buffalo Ballet can follow him home, while Hawkhurst will surely appreciate this drop in class.
