Got his head in front at the fourth attempt, taking the measure of Dashing Oscar over this C&D in February, jumping well from the front. A repeat of that form should be good enough here regardless, but may well have more improvement to come.
Didn't show enough on debut in a bumper here in February to suggest he's going to take a hand here, and yard remains very quiet with just the one winner from their last 30 runners.
Finished a distant third at Warwick on latest start, arguably an improvement on what he'd achieved previously (although that's not saying much). Still leaves him with plenty to find and looks one for handicaps after today.
First run for new yard and not seen since finishing second at Downpatrick (in a novice chase) last September. Still a maiden after 21 starts and unlikely to change the situation here, with the places looking more likely.
Forecasts
Cousin Oscar (1/7), Burrenbridge Hotel (10/1), Hes Our Robin (14/1), Amerton Lane (50/1)
A poor turnout for this and it looks a good opportunity for COUSIN OSCAR to follow up his C&D win here in February, despite having to shoulder a penalty for that today. None of his three rivals have shown that level of form so far, and a repeat of it ought to be enough to take care of them. Hes Our Robin has some form in Ireland, albeit in low-level handicaps and may take second from Burrenbridge Hotel, who will be more interesting once getting a handicap mark after today.
