Possesses an excellent strike rate over this C&D though hasn't been here for a while, Group 2 winner on the Flat last summer and not disgraced in two Meydan runs this year. Is the class act in this field.

Three-year-old makes limited appeal in this field based on two runs here already this year, has plenty to find with some talented rivals.

Forecasts

Gordon Lord Byron (4/1), Ostatnia (4/1), Togoville (4/1), Sign of The Kodiac (9/2), Pearl Spectre (11/2), Grey Danube (6/1), Patrick (7/1), Turbine (12/1), Power Of Ten (66/1)

Verdict

An intriguing contest and there are a few with chances but it might pay to side with the proven class of GORDON LORD BYRON, a top-level performer around the world. He's back from Dubai where he had no luck early in the year but ran fair races and might be up to the task of winning on a track he knows plenty well enough. Togoville also boasts a prolific record here and has claims of an eighth course win now back up in trip, while he should hold the likes of Patrick and Grey Danube on recent form at this venue. Returning from a break the mare Ostatnia is respected but the booking of Smullen to partner Sign of The Kodiac makes more appeal in this. Recent Lingfield winner Pearl Spectre is also on the shortlist in a race seemingly with plenty depth.
  1. Gordon Lord Byron
  2. Sign of The Kodiac
  3. Togoville
