Runner-up in this in 2015. Back to same mark as when finishing second at Ascot in November. Lost form subsequently but has won two AW races that coincide with better fortunes for her trainer. Looks set to make the running.
Winner of this and one other race in March 2016 and added two further victories in November. Has struggled over fences recently and comes here after missing an intended race at Kempton on Saturday. Stable are 7-16 in last 14 days.
Reappears after a year's absence following a career best run at Haydock. That was over a much longer trip and earlier one paced efforts make her vulnerable around this quick track. Respected for an in form yard and from a mark 2lb lower than her last run.
Lost a shoe when disappointing last time. Had posted a better effort prior to that at Plumpton but has not looked a natural jumper thus far. Cheekpieces are now tried by stable who are 1-35 around here.
Nine race maiden who comes into this from 16lb out of the handicap. Makes limited appeal having been beaten an aggregate of 189L over her last three starts.
Forecasts
Secret Door (4/6), Midtech Valentine (3/1), Favorite Girl (5/1), Hermarna (14/1), Over To Midnight (40/1)
Ian Williams has his horses running well at present and MIDTECH VALENTINE is taken to add to their recent haul. Having failed to make her mark over fences she returns on a hurdling mark just 3lb higher than when beating two subsequent winners at Kempton in November. A reproduction of that effort will see her land this for the second year running. Secret Door has to be feared hailing from a powerful yard who continue to place their horses to advantage. The drop to 2m does not look an obvious move judged on previous form but the handicap mark is hardly taxing and this may not take much winning. Favourite Girl has been in good form on the Flat recently. She will set out to make the running but may find the concession of weight asking too much.
