Last won in May last year at Uttoxeter (3m, heavy), but has struggled since, pulling up in three of his five starts. Still 1lb higher than that last winning mark, though he should enjoy the conditions if it comes up softer.
Made an encouraging chase debut at Newbury last time (2m6½f, soft). Jumping should improve for that experience and today's conditions should suit for a horse who clear has plenty of ability, and who is lightly race for his age.
Veteran C&D winner who has been running some nice races recently, and who now finds himself on his lowest handicap mark for over two years. Could be vulnerable to a younger, improving type but not out of the reckoning by any means.
Well beaten when co-favourite at Uttoxeter last time (3m, heavy), but was hampered by a faller mid-race which didn't help. That wasn't her true running, and though she's never won on testing ground, it shouldn't be an issue for her.
On a fair losing streak now but has run some eye-catching races in defeat, including when beaten only 2L here over shorter in January (in a hurdles race). On the same mark for this, but it's difficult to get excited about his most recent form over fences.
Remains on the same handicap mark as when a good second over C&D last time out. This looks easier, and he's reunited with a jockey who knows him well. One for the shortlist.
Form since switching from point to pointing isn't as encouraging as it first seems given they've come in small fields, and he's been 30L+ behind the winner on each occasion. He's not without hope on his handicap debut though, especially given he did win a point to point before starting to race under rules.
Won a maiden hurdle at Newton Abbott in May 2015 but has shown next to nothing since, being well beaten on every start over both hurdles and fences. A massive step forward would be needed here even off a light weight.

The one that interests most here is the consistent PINK GIN, who made an encouraging debut over fences at Newbury last time and is entitled to come on plenty for that run in conditions that should suit him. Lac Sacre could be the one to chase him home after running very well over C&D last time to finish second to a runaway winner, while Cailleach Annie needs to put last time's disappointment behind her, but looks up with the best of these on the pick of her form.
