Possesses a good turn of foot from his time on the Flat in Ireland and has made a smooth transition to the winter game; recording a respectable third at Newbury sandwiched in between two bloodless successes in the process. The double penalty he carries for those wins obviously makes for a tougher assignment, but he is progressing very nicely and may be capable of shrugging aside the burden in this company.
Very difficult to get enthusiastic about the form he has to his name so far. Can at least benefit from this experience but has a huge amount of improvement to find.

Poor form figures so far and very hard to fancy after finishing tailed off at Ludlow on his latest start.
Showed consistency in point-to-points so possible he may make a better chaser given time. However, he has been well beaten in each of his starts over hurdles and has an awful lot to find if he is going to get the better of the likes of Multiculture
A nicely-bred mare, she showed promise in a bumper at Fontwell last October but has yet to really establish herself over fences. This is a weak event, so feasible she may rise to the challenge - sound place claims in this company but overlooked for win only purposes.

Yet to trouble the judge in any of her five previous start and can hardly be forwarded with confidence after she jinked and unshipped her rider last time out. Another who makes limited appeal.
Sidelined for the best part of two and a half years after she made a promising start in a bumper at Worcester in 2014. However, she has now has the benefit of a couple of recent outings and makes some appeal for a place in the frame; even though a minimum stakes play would be the best recommendation if all eight stand their ground and the odds are attractive enough for Each-way punters.

Forecasts

Multiculture (1/9), Jupiter's Gift (8/1), Sheelbewhatsheelbe (12/1), Psychocandy (14/1), Argus (20/1), Fulgus (25/1), Absolutely Frankie (100/1), Hurricane Hunter (100/1)

Verdict

This ought to be straightforward for MULTICULTURE, who looks way too progressive for this lot and, granted a clear round, it is hard to envisage him not adding to his tally. Jupiter's Gift and Sheelbewhatsheelbe get the mares' allowances and make the most appeal out of the rest. Both have a huge amount of improvement to find and cannot be recommended for anything other than a place in the frame.
  1. Multiculture
  2. Jupiter's Gift
  3. Sheelbewhatsheelbe
