€48,000 foal, and half brother to NHF and hurdle winner The Geegeez Geegee. Took advantage of a tiring rival to come from an unpromising position to win at Bangor. This demands more under a penalty but stiffer track may help.

Half-brother to useful Flat performer Khlone fetched €12,000 as a three-year-old. Yard are 13-113 in bumpers over past five seasons.
Bought for £38,000 at the sales last season and a full-brother to bumper winner Royal Supremo; half-brother to first time out victor Bridlingtonbygones. Always struggling on debut and may need more time.

Unraced Milan gelding who's dam won over fences in 2010. Took time to get the grasp of things on debut. Stiffer track will help but bred to require an even stiffer test than this.

Has looked a tricky customer on both starts to date. Yard are 5-19 in bumpers here but he is one to have reservations about.

Half-brother to bumper winner Special Mate. Dam is an unraced half-sister to Best Mate. Makes plenty of appeal on pedigree but yard are 0-30 in bumpers over last five seasons.
First foal of a dam who won on the Flat and over hurdles. Yard are 15-69 in bumpers.
Arrives fit from a career best effort in a point-to-point last time. Form only looks moderate and others are preferred. Yard are 3-30 in bumpers.

Weak in the market and finished tailed off on Towcester debut. Stable are 47-208 in bumpers but it looks unlikely he will add to that tally here.

Has a Flat race pedigree. Well beaten third behind two useful looking horses on debut. Had the fourth 10L behind that day. Stable 39-266 in these events over the past five years.
First foal of a well related dam. Stable have won a couple of West Country bumpers in the past five years.

Finished mid-division on bumper debut over 1m6f. Will appreciate this stiffer test but yard are just 2-75 in bumpers over last five years.

Sister to Flamenco Lad who was placed in a couple of bumpers here. Yard 1-29 in this type of event.

Forecasts

Canford Chimes (7/4), Just A Sting (3/1), Silver Hollow (3/1), Gunfleet (13/2), Motueka (9/1), Azbo (16/1), Beyond Supremacy (22/1), Monda's Legacy (25/1), Sixteen Letters (28/1), Whitley Neill (28/1), La Fille Francaise (40/1), Lady Wethered (40/1), Mr Storyteller (66/1), Italian River (80/1)

Verdict

It may pay to side with the fitness advantage held by CANFORD CHIMES. He is bred for the level and was unlucky to run into a good pair of horses last time. This looks a lot easier and the form of his debut looks stronger than that achieved by Just A Sting. Harry Fry's charge will improve for the stiffer track and ought to reach a place but may find the weight concession to the selection beyond him. Silver Hollow looks the pick of the newcomers.
  1. Canford Chimes
  2. Just A Sting
  3. Silver Hollow
