Unable to trouble this top yard's first string when runner-up to her in receipt of 5lb and sporting first-time cheek pieces at Thurles in January. Still going well when parting company with Ruby Walsh last time. This trip should be no problem and there should be a fair bit more to come.
Clonmel beginners' chase winner last time (2m1½f, heavy) and as a point-to-point winner this trip should hold no fears. Has the profile of a gradual improver and, while she has a bit to find with the top two or three, you couldn't rule her out from taking another step forward.
16lb higher here than when taking a mares' handicap chase at Fairyhouse in December (2m4f, heavy) and ran well when behind Daisy's Gift in the same Thurles Grade Two earlier in the campaign. Has a bit to find with that reopposing rival but should again be very competitive.
Won a point-to-point this time last year (3m, heavy) but she has been unable to fulfil that sort of promise under rules to date and looks one to watch for the time being.
Enjoys the spring, having won here over both 2m6f and 3m around this time last year on heavy ground. Not yet threatened to win over fences and needs a marked improvement even to figure in the closing stages at this level.
Rated 138 over hurdles, so the best of these in that sphere, and apart from one hiccough she has done well over fences, winning her last two and looking capable of being at least as good in this discipline. Marked step up in trip might be the only concern here.
Forecasts
Slowmotion (9/10), Not For Burning (9/2), Daisy's Gift (11/2), Goulane Davina (7/1), Twiss's Hill (11/1), Balofilo (33/1), Roisin A Chroi (66/1)
Daisy's Gift has proven stamina on here side as well as form at this level and will be tough enough to topple, but SLOWMOTION is arguably the classiest mare on show here and in receipt of weight we will take a chance that she can see out this marked step up in trip. Goulane Davina and Not For Burning are two others likely to be in the shake-up.
