Won a Plumpton novices' hurdle in November but has struggled with the handicapper's assessment of him since. A further 3lb drop since last time will not harm his cause here, though has it to prove on the forecast ground.
Has not won for over three years, but has put in the occasional good effort from higher marks in the interim, including at Ayr in January. Yard been in good form of late and on ground that will suit he has claims.
Same mark today as when third beaten just over 5L at Doncaster (2m½f, good to soft) last time and seems to be at his best in the spring, so entitled to have stronger claims than many of them.
Has won a couple of the Flat, the latter being over 2m1f at Pontefract last season from a mark of 66. Stamina clearly his strong suit, so not sure that this will be a sufficient test and well beaten all starts over obstacles.
Won a bumper and then finally came good over hurdles at the tenth attempt at Warwick last week. Won by 5L that day and carries a 7lb penalty this time, but in a weak contest he is entitled to go close.
Almost four years since he won a Kilbeggan maiden hurdle on fast ground, his only success to date. Just edged out of it when a beaten favourite in a seller last time but less easy to fancy him back in a handicap, especially on softer ground.
Point-to-point winner who has never threatened over either hurdles or fences so far and not easy to fancy despite another 5lb drop today.

Forecasts
Act Four (6/4), Citrus (3/1), Global Thrill (7/2), Seven Summits (8/1), Dites Rien (10/1), Market Road (12/1), Miss Benefitz (16/1), Flanagans Field (20/1), Chevalgris (20/1), Berwin (50/1)
A moderate contest to kick-off proceedings and the suggestion is GLOBAL THRILL, for whom this is a good time of year, while Miss Benefitz, Citrus and Seven Summits should be involved in the shake-up. Keep an eye on the market too where handicap debutante Dites Rien is concerned.
