Improved effort over three-miles at Fairyhouse on handicap bow in January, failed to build on that dropped in trip at Navan this month. Drops 1lb, hard to know what to expect.
Failed to see it out from the front over C&D in January and has since delivered a woeful effort at Punchestown making him hard to fancy now.
Won here over two-miles at Christmas, paying for it off higher mark in three runs since but is dropping to an appealing rating once more and has a better chance than most.
Improved effort at Navan over 2m3f on handicap hurdle bow this month, runs off the same mark here and could have more to offer up.
Had a spin on the AW at Dundalk to get him ready for this but previous form over timber leaves him with plenty more to find.
Marked improvement to score at Punchestown over 2m4f on heavy ground last month, doing the job well. More on his plate this time but could be capable of building on his success.
Just the one success from 17 outings over hurdles, coming over three-miles on heavy ground at Ayr in January 2016. Formbook gives him a bit to find.
Keen going frontrunner tends to do too much at the head of affairs and unable to see things out. Pulled up at Ayr latest as a result, must settle better.
Two wins over timber last summer, bit below best when last spotted in November but feasibly weighted to give this a real go.
Got rid of rider early on Navan in November when last seen. That was over a staying trip but had previously run best hurdles race at the same venue when close second over two-miles. Could have a say in this.
Has plenty to prove on what we've seen in four maiden hurdles but could be more to come now stepping into handicap company.
Disappointing on handicap bow at Clonmel last month, jumping rather letting him down and leaving with plenty to prove at the moment.
Not beaten all that far when fourth in a Mares' Novices' Hurdle at Musselburgh in January, makes her one to note now sent handicapping.
Struggled in handicaps so far, failing to complete twice in three outings and last of 13 when spotted most recently in July at Downpatrick. Coming off a break, looks best watched.
Still holding every chance when falling at Downpatrick in October, may have needed the run last week at Thurles on first start since. Drops another 2lb, back up in trip and could have a say.
Three years since he last won, ran well here at Christmas though disappointing since at Navan, weighted to have a real chance.
Off the track well over a year, failed to complete in three previous starts over fences, 11-race maiden and has a lot to prove here.
Struggled in handicaps either side of a layoff, though did run with more promise at Navan in January behind the progressive frontrunner Yaha Fizz. Not completely out of it, though has more to find with Backinthesaddle.
Forecasts
Graphic Legacy (4/1), L'Attesa (7/1), Monastic (7/1), Backinthesaddle (9/1), Canadian Steel (10/1), Sweet Little Lies (11/1), Black Kettle (12/1), Come Dance With Me (12/1), The Irritator (14/1), Caerleon Kate (14/1), Golden Silence (14/1), Tyrone Tiger (14/1), Intercounty Star (14/1), Tikkereasy (16/1), Cinder Rua (20/1), Court Jester (20/1), Fairwood Native (25/1), Robyn Rua (50/1)
Graphic Legacy showed significant improvement when scoring at Punchestown last month and despite the penalty, he shouldn't be discounted from taking another step forward. This looks competitive however with BACKINTHESADDLE seeking to go two from two at this track. He won here over Christmas and should go well again having been below par off an inflated mark at Ayr last time out. Sweet Little Lies is not discounted on a line of form through the selection, though she needs further improvement. The Irritator should be fitter for his Thurles run last week and could have something to say while handicap debutant Caerleon Kate is one to note in the market along with L'attesa.
- Backinthesaddle
- Graphic Legacy
- The Irritator
