Second in what looked like a below par Grade 1 last time at Leopardstown and while he's capable of progression, others have less to prove despite trainer's resurgence on Thursday.
Very exciting prospect who won easily on GB debut at Kempton in December. That form has a strong look to it and he looked like the winner before falling at the same course last time. Will love the ground and his trainer and jockey have had quite the Festival so far; could well enhance their strike-rate with this gelding.
Not far behind reoposing rival Defi Du Seuil here three starts back and ran okay at Sandown in two starts since but soft conditions appear to be his optimum and he has plenty to find on official figures. Game, consistent sort but place possibilities at best.
French import (closely related to Vroum Vroum Mag) who won a weak looking maiden hurdle at Gowran Park in heavy ground last month but Walsh prefers Bapaume and this gelding may want further and more time before being seen to best effect.
Runs for the same owner as Charli Parcs, but not the same trainer, and this one has been racking up the wins so far this season. Arrives here undefeated but yard have been a little quiet of late and he may be a little better with cut in the ground. Likely to be of warm order but may be vulnerable for win purposes.
Gone from strength to strength for this yard after a respectable career on the Flat. Disqualification looked a bit harsh on final start when first past the post. Could be even better on fast ground and not one to rule out at likely big odds for a trainer who has a good strike rate with a limited number of runners.
Has first run for new yard and been running respectably well in weaker events on both sides of the Irish Sea for John Joseph Hanlon. Looks well out of his depth in this contest though.
Contested the German Derby and showed some decent form in that sphere. Not disgraced on two hurdles starts at Warwick for this yard but this colt will need to step up markedly on that form if he's to take a hand.
Form has tailed off somewhat in the lead up to this race and has plenty to do to turn around the form with reoposing Ex Patriot who was first past the post at Fairyhouse last time. 7lb swing in the weights with that rival and return to better ground will suit but still has a bit to find on form.
Benefited from the Charli Parcs fall last time but beat the rest of the field handsomely and proven in all sorts of ground. Still progressing but will need to to turn the form around with that rival who looked well on top when falling last time. Each-way player.
Beat Bapaume last time but needs to jump better if he's to become a factor in this and level of form looks a notch below what's required. Jockey was amongst the winners yesterday and the yard are going well, but he's difficult to fancy for win purposes.
Useful handicapper on the Flat winning off a mark of 94 at Goodwood back in October. Only two starts over hurdles but impressive last time winning by 14L at Doncaster on good ground. Trainer does well with his Flat recruits and he's been in flying form at the Festival so far, he has to be respected for a yard that won this in 2015.
Been running well in softer conditions over in Ireland and it's interesting she turns up in this race. A little lucky to land the result in the stewards room at Fairyhouse last time but looks the stable first string on jockey bookings and she's a player if she handles the ground.
Ran respectably behind Master Blueyes last time but will have to do plenty more to reverse the form with that rival and beaten by Defi Du Seuil the time before. Can be an untidy jumper and won't get away with any mistakes here.
Makes yard debut and cost connections plenty. Long lay-off to overcome though and likely to be in too deep on yard debut.

Defi Du Seuil (5/2), Charli Parcs (9/2), Mega Fortune (7/1), Landofhopeandglory (8/1), Master Blueyes (8/1), Bapaume (10/1), Dinaria Des Obeaux (10/1), Soldier In Action (16/1), Dandy Mag (22/1), Ex Patriot (28/1), Coeur de Lion (33/1), Magie Du Ma (40/1), Evening Hush (50/1), Landin (150/1), I See You Well (200/1), King Julien (200/1)
CHARLI PARCS was well clear of Master Blueyes when they met on their penultimate start and the former looked like mastering his rival again at Kempton last time before falling. He should appreciate the faster ground and yard have had a good week so far as well as having a good record in this race, so there's plenty to like about his chances. Defi Du Seuil comes here aiming to defend his unbeaten record but he may have wanted slower ground. Ex Patriot could go well at a bigger price and he looked unlucky to lose a race in the stewards room last time out.
- Charli Parcs
- Defi Du Seuil
- Ex Patriot
