Was good enough to win a couple of handicap chases from a mark of 130 a few years ago when with Sue Smith and appreciates a stiff test and soft ground, which he is likely to get here. Has lost form quite sharply though in recent times and connections try a visor in the hope of a revival, though cheek pieces had no effect.
Has already obliged this season in a similar contest and rated very much the best of these on recent efforts. Stays well, acts on any ground and should be too good for this field.
Former point-to-point winner who ran well in a poor race when runner-up in a Leicester hunter chase over 2m4f last time. This is tougher, though you wouldn't rule out some more prize money for him with doubts over several others.
Won a point-to-point last season and ran well in several others. If able to produce that sort of form then he would be in the mix here. Not shown much in two recent outings, but with the yard now in good form a much better effort is anticipated.
Very consistent point-to-point performer who makes his hunter chase debut today. In a race where there are doubts about most of them, he may well be capable of making an impact.
TOBY LERONE cannot be opposed in what looks a case of jump around and win for him, though the places are more tricky to decipher. Jepeck may well be one of those given that he has done so well in point-to-points, while Fitz Volante and Jakros should also get involved in that battle.
