This is his time of year, having put together wins at Market Rasen and Bangor last spring, the latter from just 1lb lower than today. Trip looks to be an issue here however, as he drops back a mile and he is likely to need some forcing in the first-time headgear if he is to prove good enough.
2lb lower than when taking a Lingfield handicap chase in November and not that long since he was last winning over hurdles. Stable had a decent run out of Briery Queen at Cheltenham on Tuesday, so no issues with form and could go very well.
5lb higher than when scoring at Warwick (2m, soft) in January, though unable to add to that from today's mark back there next time on heavy. Nonetheless, he beat everything bar a clear winner that day and could still make an impact today.
Point-to-point and bumper winner who has shown a glimpse of ability in two hurdles so far. Makes his handicap debut today and remains to be seen if this is an attractive mark.
Another handicap debutant who, on the balance of his form in novices' races, wouldn't have you rushing to back him from today's initial mark, although his jockey does take off plenty of weight. Interesting if supported.
Exposed over hurdles, having won one from 10 attempts. Stays 1m6f on the Flat, so could argue that this trip is plenty short enough, although the testing ground and stiff track will help bring that stamina into play. Can go well fresh but might just have a few pounds too many.
Won a couple of seasons ago in France, though struggled to get home over 2m5½f on his hurdles debut at Wincanton at the beginning of the month. Potentially more interesting now dropped in trip though would like to see some confidence before getting financially involved.
Handicapper is definitely giving him a chance here, his last win being over C&D last year from 9lb higher (soft). Came back after a break with a decent pipe opener on the AW last month and could be primed to strike again.
Dropped 5lb since last run and has won over C&D some years ago, but clearly has had problems and recent efforts suggests that he will need a further drop in the weights before he can win again.

GRAMS AND OUNCES is suggested to add to his win here this time last year on forecast ground was the same that day. He has dropped to an attractive mark and can come good again. Authorized Too is one of those more likely to be in the shake-up, while Moidore is not out of this despite the shorter trip, provided he can make it a stiff test.
