Won on second start for trainer. Conditions will suit but this looks a stronger race. A 7lb penalty gives him a huge burden to carry in testing conditions.
Winner on this card last year in similar conditions but form has been poor recently. Cheekpieces failed to inspire last time and he is best watched at present.
Veteran who is well suited to this track and plenty of cut in the ground. Winner of a poor race at Kelso and was soundly beaten last time. Feared in these conditions but the handicapper may have his measure.
Switched to hurdles paid off last time after string of dismal efforts. He looked to have the race won when left clear two out and carries a 7lb penalty now. That leaves him just below the handicappers new assessment. Should prove hard to beat if in the same mood.
Conditions will suit but likely to need this first run for almost two years. Handicap mark no more than fair.
Landed an above average seller here in June. May have needed latest run behind a well handicapped winner. Yard are in excellent form so cannot be ruled out.
Appears to have fallen out with the game lately. Looks unlikely he will follow up the yard's success in this last year.
Ran The Bishop to 2¼L over fences a year ago. Now meets him on 15lb better terms. Has had two runs back from a layoff which will have her straight for his. The stiffer test here will suit.
Forecasts
The Bishop (7/2), Redkalani (7/2), Darsi Dancer (4/1), Spring Over (4/1), Purple Harry (7/1), Too Many Chiefs (12/1), Bescot Springs (14/1), Longueville Flier (33/1)
SPRING MOVER makes plenty of appeal from the foot of the handicap. She gets a significant weight advantage with The Bishop on running here last year. Two runs following a layoff show she is coming to hand and she moves up to her optimum trip. The Bishop ended a lean spell to collect last time. Nick Alexander's charge has something to find with the selection but his current wellbeing is assured. Darsi Dancer makes most appeal of the rest.

- The Bishop
